BP Award for Best Partnership between Business and Education
This category aims to assess the progress companies have made towards building a two-way partnerships with schools, colleges and universities. It also reviews how children and young people are able to relate academic study to the world of work. UKRC Award for Diversity & Inclusion
This award assesses your company policies and practices in promoting equal opportunities and diversity for all employees. In line with the DTI’s Strategy for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology and The Science and Innovation Investment Framework, it specifically focuses on gender equality in occupations where women are currently under-represented.
Arup Award for Sustainable Manufacturing
Sustainable manufacturing is an increasingly important consideration for corporate and public sector customers and also for many end consumers. It therefore provides a valuable opportunity for competitive differentiation. At the same time the introduction of legislation is driving businesses to think not only about the environmental impact of their production processes but also about the impact of products over their entire life cycle. Failure to embrace these important challenges will lead to increased operating costs and missed business opportunities.
