The Manufacturing Excellence process

Manufacturing Excellence gives you the opportunity to benchmark your business against industry best practice and standards. Conduct an in-depth self-assessment audit of your business and we will then prepare and send you a complimentary benchmark report. This is produced in association with WMG and will make recommendations for improving your business processes.

What's involved?

  1. Self-assessment audit – complete one or more modules of our eight-section business improvement audit.
  2. Assessment boards and benchmark report – your completed audit will be evaluated and scored, and a benchmark report will make recommendations for improving your business
  3. Assessor visit – the best companies in each module will be visited by a team of skilled assessors to undertake a further appraisal of your business
  4. Final presentation – shortlisted companies will be invited to present to a judging panel at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London
  5. Awards ceremony – category and overall winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel
  6. MX Club – throughout the year network with your peers at events such as company tours and lectures, many of which are hosted by previous award winners, and hear first-hand about how Manufacturing Excellence can help your business.
